Nestled at the foot of Sugarbush and Mad River Glen in Waitsfield, Vermont, the Hyde Away Inn has been a gathering place for skiers, locals, and wanderers since 1949. What began as the Ulla Lodge — one of the original five lodging properties built for Mad River Glen’s first ski season — has grown into one of the Mad River Valley’s most beloved inns, known for its warmth, its history, and its legendary tavern. One of Vermont’s oldest historic ski lodges, the Hyde Away has been welcoming guests since Mad River Glen’s very first season.
